Art pieces chosen to represent Sunrise were displayed at the Northshore School District-wide Open House on Friday Jan 4th. The entries had been judged again in competition with the submissions from all the other competing schools and were awarded participation ribbons, honorable mention rosettes or, in fact, chosen to represent the school district at the State level.
Sunrise was awarded 3 rosettes and 2 entries were chosen to go on to State!
Karissa Mohr’s Photographic entry and Lauren Anderson’s Literature entry were chosen to go to the State level of competition. Congratulations to you both – and actually special congratulations go to Karissa, as her entry in last year’s competition was also chosen to go to State!
Rachel Aiken and Ty O’Brien were awarded Honorable Mentions for their Visual Art submissions, while Vivien Sorosy’s Photograph was also awarded a rosette.
These art works and all the other submissions will be available for viewing at the upcoming Sunrise Art Night on March 19th 2013. Please come by and be inspired for next year’s competition.
