Our final fundraising event of the year will kick off Monday, February 11th. The Sunrise Read-a-Thon is a fun way to incentivize students to achieve their reading goals while supporting PTA programs like afterschool enrichment, Bingo Night, Art Night, and many more.
Reading is its own reward of course, and in addition, prizes will be awarded to all participants who complete and return their Tracker Form and collected donations by February 28th.
Here’s how to participate:
Track the number of minutes read each night on the included Tracker Form. If your student reads more than 280 minutes in the 14 day period, they will be entered in a drawing to win a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card!
Students may speak to family and friends about their reading goals and ask that they make a donation toward those goals to help support Sunrise. Students who return their Tracker Form and collect a minimum of $50 in donations will be entered in a separate drawing for a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card!
Important dates:
February 11th Reading tracking begins
February 24th Reading tracking ends
February 28th Tracker and Donation forms due in the “Read-a-Thon” folder in the PTA bin in the office
March 14th Prizes awarded to all participants and winners of the Barnes and Noble gift cards are announced!
