Up-coming improvements and projects at Sunrise!

At both our January and March general meetings, attendees heard more about classroom needs and opportunities to help support our school. Various Sunrise staff and parents presented on topics that included:

  • Science Program overview and insight from our Science Specialist Tricia Brown and our Principal Steve Hopkins
  • Music education curriculum updates and instrument repair requests
  • New risers used for school performances, picture day and other events
  • New reading nooks in the library for students
  • PE equipment refresh and health curriculum
  • Playground improvements

We also heard from our treasurer Mark Rogers on our budget and ability to fund these programs and requests.

The Sunrise PTA is excited to announce that the Board and General Membership voted on and approved funds to support all the items mentioned above!
